JADŁONOMIA PO POLSKU — Marta Dymek

"Jadłonomia po polsku" is a culinary book written by the most popular Polish vegan blogger - Marta Dymek. While working on this publication, I was responsible for its design and composition. The publication was created in cooperation with Ola Niepsuj (illustration design). Just as the recipes drew from the tradition of Polish cuisine, the graphic design of the book subtly refers to the Polish school of illustrations, posters from the 60s, 70s and 80s and folk art. The colors are reduced to the palette used in old cookbooks and correspond to the illustrations and the navigation system - divided into 6 seasons. For this publication, I chose a geometric typeface and green hot-stamping, which modernized the project. To root the cover even more in Polish tradition, the selected typography, designed by Ludovic Balland, is based on Mark Sigmund's 1975 typeface commissioned by the Polish Ministry of Transport for the lettering of road signs.
