TEN Album was made for presentation purposes of the Warsaw hairdressing atelier TEN.The owner of the salon - TEN Łukasz Mazolewski believes that every visit, every person is different and unique, which inspired the design of this album. On each sheet, there are photos devoted to one person, but the recipient of the album can freely arrange them in any order and create their own story. Story that meets his or her expectations. There is no single pattern, neither in the order of the pages of the album, nor in the art of hairdressing. Both, the hair and the album itself, give many possible configurations and a field for self-expression.All this is possible, thanks to the elastic hairband and loose sheets. Album also has a hard cover, with photographs of the hairdressing chair before and after the visit, and endpaper made of silver chromolux paper imitating the mirror.Everything that happens between is a process. Individually tailored to the TEN Salon client and the recipient of TEN Album.

Roman Czernecki i jego szkoły w Słupi oraz Szczekocinach.
Book about foundation patron, Roman Czernecki by Mirosław Skrzypczyk – describes an outstanding teacher, organizer of a secret school system with its headquarters in Słupia, as well as the founder of the first post-war high school in Szczekociny. It’s a unique portrayal though – we get to know Roman Czernecki from different perspectives and through various stories: his own memoirs and journal notes, archival documents, the notes of his wife Janina, his relatives’ memories and the reports of his friends, colleagues, teachers and students.

It has been an epoch from the influential exhibition of Kuba Dąbrowski in Zachęta that grounded his position as one of the most important contemporary Polish photographers. "Pożar/Fire" is the new photobook of Kuba with his personal pictures that cover both the mood of "democratic fire" in Europe last years and the undefined and photographically unexplored period of life between 30 and 40.Kuba Dąbrowski is well-know for his "transparent photography" and the book itself needed "transparent design". The design includes no typography but handwritten notes by Kuba himself and the only element that was actually designed is the layout of the book and order of photographs and spreads.

Hello Frame. Picturemaking is coming. Postreprodukcyjne praktyki artystyczne – a book by Agnieszka Grodzińska. It is an essay on contemporary change of visual perception owing to technical reproduction. The multiple covers on the cover of the book are inspired by the concept of posteproduction that, in its sense, highly lies on replication. The background of each chapter opening and spread illustration are screenshots of errors that appeared on display during work and had been captured quick enough before the display came back to the right state.

MIKOŁAJ DŁUGOSZLATEM W MIEŚCIE. SUMMER IN THE CITY.
Mikołaj Długosz was the first visual artist to take advantage of the archives of communist-era postcards. In 2006, long before most of us took an interest in forgotten images of the past, he published the now-famous album Lovely weather, it’s a shame to leave. The publication you are holding is not merely a rehash of that book. Summer in the City comprises wholly different material, with a markedly more critical analysis of Polish postcards of the 1970s and 80s.

PLACES OF ORIGIN: POLISH GRAPHIC DESIGN IN CONTEXT
Places of Origin: Polish Graphic Design in Context was the exhibition organized by Culture.pl during HönnunarMars // DesignMarch in Reykjavik. It was curated by Agata Szydłowska and put Polish graphic design on the map. I designed the branding for this event and since the geographic context was behind the whole exhibition idea, I used is as an inspiration for the design of the visual identity. I chose green as the color of the branding since it is a dominating color of the physical map of Poland. The logotype itself is inspired by the shape of a map indicator and is not a fixed sign itself, but rather a modular logotype that is influence by the shape of the project it points at.

HALKA / HAITI 18°48’05”N 72°23’01”W
Halka / Haiti was an art project exhibited in Polish Pavilion at 56th Venice Biennale. I designed the branding based on custom font that was inspired by the old prints from the times of the premiere of the original “Halka”, the opera by Stanisław Moniuszko. The branding included the logotype, website, promotional folders, invitations, posters and brochures.

A treatise on relationality is a live stage installation based on Monadology, written by Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz in 1714. His famous work seems to gain new actuality in the context of mutual interplay of human body and city. The installation in its structure corresponds to the chosen concepts of Leibniz world. All elements that build the life stage installation such as the architectural design, the audio installation or even the graphic patterns on the costumes correspond to five chosen issues that organize the structure of Leibniz’s world. At the same time we can find them in the contemporary world. These are: perspective, perception, networking, monologue and repetition.

Zwykłe Życie is a Polish lifestyle magazine about simple living. They write about crafsmen – both from the older generation and the young ones who continue their tradition. I intended the layout of the magazine reflect the overall concept of simplicity. Therefore I reduced the typefaces to the two most generic ones – Times New Roman and Helvetica and used only their regular and italic version. After three number I change fonts for Korpus and Korpus Grotesk by Binnenland. I also cut down the number of font sizes to three in the whole magazine and designed the publication in an economic, handy format.

Zmiana ról was a collective exhibition of Polish photographers, which took place in Rzeszów and Mielec in 2010 organized by Stowarzyszenie Kulturalne j’ARTe. Project includes poster, invitations and multi-page calendar design. The logotype form is based on the geographic shape of the voivodeship, where the photographs were taken. The branding print's layout results from the grid based on this unique logotype. Calendar layout, different on every page, demonstrates the variety of photographic styles.

I am a Warsaw based graphic designer. The range of my work spans from typography and branding to illustrative work and poster design, but the things I am mostly keen on are editorial and book design. All in all, everybody has his favourites. I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland and hold a degree in Communication Design. From then on I run my own studio in my hometown Warsaw. Over last few years, I was twice awarded with two Club of Advertisement Creators prizes (KTR) and Project of the Year award (STGU). Moreover, my projects were exhibited on several shows in Tokyo, New York City, London, Berlin, Stockholm, Baku, Havana.
